Sydney Youth Orchestra's second concert for 2015, The Ride of the Valkyries at 7pm 30 May, Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatoruim or 3pm 31 May, Riverside Theatre, Parramatta.

This concert features two pieces. The first is a condensed orchestral arrangement of Wagner’s magnificent The Ring Without Words (Der Ring Ohne Werte), an orchestral selection from the world’s most epic opera The Ring Cycle. Featuring many of The Ring’s best moments including the Ride of the Valkyries, Magic Fire Music, Siegfried’s Funeral March and many more, this recognisable and historic piece of music is impressive and complex to listen to. The concert will also feature the world premiere of Concerto for Violin and Orchestra by young Australian composer Lee Bracegirdle. You can book tickets through syo.com.au/shop
